Our lovely beaches

Firstly, ‘Four Mile Beach’ is the premier beach of Port Douglas. From the main Macrossan Street Port Douglas, you can walk to the beach in under 5 minutes and then continue to walk along the sandy beach for hours under the tropical sun. 4-Mile Beach begins at the northern rocky headland – great for kids to explore and play with the small crabs that make the beach their home. Then the 4 miles of beach unfold in a gentle curve that continues as far as the eye can see, without a hint of development. In fact, the accommodation and houses including our very own Coral Sea beach House are neatly hidden behind the swaying palms.

Port Douglas, Far North Queensland, is renowned for it’s proximity to World Heritage Listed rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef, and exotic wildlife that exists in few other places in the world. It’s also renowned for its beautiful palm tree-lined beaches, fringed by warm tropical waters.

Low Islands & Snapper Island beaches are only accessible from the ocean. At the beginning or end of our outer Great Barrier Reef private charter days ABC Scuba Diving Port Douglas simply loves to frequent these two very special unique environments. Our customers usually just observe with dropped jaws and rave about how pristine and private these areas really are. Snapper Island and the Low Islands both boast simply stunning off shore beaches some glimpses you will be able to see in the pictures opposite.
